富家女林安妮经常与丈夫胡剑勤斗气。一日，二人又为小事各不相让，于是协议由勤主内，安妮主外，应付得宜者，便可做一家之主。勤不谙家务，同时照顾一双年幼子女，弄得一塌糊涂，幸得邻居李美玉帮忙。安妮到玉夫张秋平工作的洋行应征，公司郑经理好色，规定女职员必须未婚及穿迷你裙上班，安妮为求获聘，讹称未婚，又改穿迷你裙，令郑神魂颠倒。郑骗安妮到酒店欲迷奸她，平及时通知郑妻前来把丈夫轰走，却被勤、玉误会他与安妮有染。安妮父为银行总裁，得悉爱女受辱，即撤去对郑的所有资助，郑落得自食其果。至此，安妮与勤冰释前嫌，明白夫妻应互相尊重。
